After the End is our gallery.

Presently hosted by Bubby’s and supported by the Post-Apocalyptic Art Program.

After The End intends to bring a group of artists who exhibit collectively under one name
while each maintains their independence.

This is an active cultural program, providing curatorial guidance, press support, event production, and a recurring public gathering for every cycle.

What comes next is up to us...

It seems fair to say that few of us raised in Western civilization have escaped the idea of an inevitable apocalypse: the end of all we know, with only the chosen few surviving, and those few then living the rest of eternity in heaven, or bliss, or something. If you escaped this story as part of your worldview, consider yourself lucky to be untainted by the dogma. But for the rest of us, it is difficult to swallow that all of it is a dogmatic trope built to create slaves, and it has been remarkably effective.

The premise of the myth of the apocalypse is that we are all doomed, save for a chosen few who have somehow been especially pleasing to the Lord. The fires, the horsemen, the eternal suffering of the damned: all these stories have given power to the corrupt to maintain control over the cowering masses.

Let's propose an alternative. Let's agree that these stories are absurd, and that we should do everything we can, as individuals and as a collective society, to rid ourselves of these myths and stop teaching them to our children.

The job of artists is then to replace these myths with better, more useful ones. Plato left a few starting points centuries ago. We're picking up the thread right here, After The End.

After the End takes its name directly from this thinking. It is the gallery project this program runs inside Bubby's: the space where a new mythology gets tested in public, cycle by cycle, artist by artist.

Here’s an open call for you

A close-up view of a black object with a textured surface, possibly a curved piece of plastic or metal, with some small debris or particles around it.

This open call invites artists to participate in this program, that includes -among other benefits- an inaugural show.

Selections will be curated by a panel of judges -artists, communicators and creatives- working with the post apocalyptic art school,  and we look forward to seeing your best work.

Inside each cycle

One program, four running seasons.

After the End will have seasonal exhibits.

Selected artists will host an afternoon gathering as part of the show. There will also be a closing event to hand the show to the next artist. T

The open call starts officially on October 1st, 2026.

The first seasonal exhibit -Cycle 01-, opens January 21st, 2027, marking the start of the open-call program described here.

The Post Apocalyptic team reviews every open-call application and builds the cycle's roster around the program's premise, and the relevance and strength of the work.
